- Carl Heine from IMSA Information Fluency: Staying Ahead of Web 2.0
Information fluency is integral in learning how to learn. This workshop examines how ever-changing Web applications and Infowhelm impact every learner’s ability to find and evaluate online information. Hands-on practice with search strategies, tools and instructional resources results not only in better searching but more critical thinking and effective learning.

The newest edition of Linking for Learning: The Illinois School Library Media Program Guidelines is the one-stop resource to manage your library media program. The book contains rubrics for program evaluation, examples of evidence, model job descriptions, a section for administrators, and more. This session will review the book’s content, provide time to utilize the rubrics with colleagues, highlight the online resources that accompany Linking, and share ideas for taking the next steps to improve your program.

There are millions of digitized primary sources available at the Library of Congress: maps, photographs, sound clips, journals, scrapbooks, film clips, and more are waiting to be discovered by you, your teachers and students. There is something for every educator at the Library of Congress.
