Background Check / Fingerprinting

The School of Education and the GSLIS School Library Media Program at Dominican University are committed to the protection of all children and young people. To that end, we seek to work with school districts and civic communities to make schools a safe environment for the student body. As of April 1, 2005, applicants to the School Library Media Program as well as current candidates for certification are required to submit to national, state and local criminal background investigations.

For students applying to the SLMP, a national fingerprint-based background check is an admission requirement. We coordinate with the School of Education to have Accurate Biometrics administer the fingerprinting to Dominican students for a fee of $50 (to be paid by the student). You must bring a copy of the form below with you to Accurate Biometrics in order to have the check completed.
